Helping socially exploited children

Desperate conditions in the rural and urban India are forcing growing numbers of children to live in subhuman conditions. These children are deprived of their most basic rights of getting education & living a happy childhood. They are socially exploited. Most of them have never been to school or were pulled out at very young age. Due to existing social & economic conditions these children are forced to do various child abusive activities including child labor and prostitution.

Child abuse is a state of emotional, physical, economic and sexual maltreatment meted out to a person below the age of eighteen and is a globally prevalent phenomenon. However, in India, as in many other countries, there has been little understanding for such a deep rooted problem.

According to a 1991 census, 11.2 million children aged between 5 and 14 were forced to work as child labors in India.

Keeping these aspects in mind InfoBeans team made a valiant effort to help such children with the help of NGO CRY. The InfoBeans team grabbed the opportunity when volunteers from CRY approached InfoBeans for helping abused children.

We can’t take responsibility of each and every abused child on our own. However, we are lending a helping hand as a first step towards helping such children. The team at InfoBeans gathered a non disclosed amount from within the team & have provided it to CRY. This fund will help CRY to support around 50 children for their food, education & basic requirements for a year.

We will continue to do whatever we can to help make our environment a better place for all of us.
