Journey from Philosophie to InfoBeans Accelerate

Accelerate (formerly Philosophie, a design and innovation firm) was acquired by InfoBeans in 2019. The acquisition transformed a design and early engineering firm into a full stack end to end delivery engine, providing a full-spectrum Digital Transformation and Product Engineering offering for clients. It also strengthened InfoBeans's foothold in the US market and allowed the company to leverage Accelerate's client base. Post acquisition, the company continues to serve its clients with even more skill and global strength.

About Accelerate

Accelerate has partnered with over 250 companies to quickly turn their most promising ideas into reality. It helps these companies escape long planning sessions, rapidly prototype and launch products and software within weeks, and ultimately helps them think by making.

Evolution is continuous

Technology is progressing faster than ever. Content and data is expanding exponentially. And consumer preferences and behavior seem to turn on a dime. Yesterday it was Groupon. Today it is Snapchat.

Companies that can't keep up will die. Those that can will survive. But those that drive change will win.

Strategy requires making

The only way to get out of a red ocean is to swim to where no one is right now. Unfortunately, traditional strategy and planning don't work there. You can't size a market that doesn't exist yet. You can't examine competitors when they haven't launched yet. You can't apply the rules because there are none.

True innovation emerges from chaos. In that space, there's only one way to progress, and that is to create. Makers move forward, analysts get left behind.

Speed is the advantage

Inventing the future takes time, but it must be pursued with a sense of urgency. Only two out of ten new ventures succeed. The idea is to get through the other eight as fast as possible. And no one fails faster than we do.

You need a rapid innovation partner

Your company has endless opportunities and endless threats. We can help you work through them quickly and find the ones that matter. Let's go on the offensive.

There is so much waste in enterprise software. Teams build and build. And build. And build. But when they finally release, the product often falls flat. No one should be surprised by the fact that the vast majority of custom software development projects ($440 billion in 2019 alone!) fail

The truth is that most software sucks. It is hard to use. It frequently takes longer to build than originally budgeted. And it rarely meets the business objectives. In fact, over 70% of Digital Transformation efforts fail. Considering that 7.3 trillion dollars are expected to be spent on digital transformation over the next 2 years, that’s a lot of money wasted. That’s compounded by user frustration, missed outcomes, and annoyed colleagues.

Introducing Experiment-Driven Design

We ran Philosophie for many years with little process aside from “get the job done, good.” It worked when we were a tiny team and had small clients with straightforward needs. But as we started to work with larger and larger clients, on increasingly complicated projects, process became critical to hold things together and give the team a sense of control.
